Who Can Use This Service?

Our Unaccompanied Minor service is designed for:

Mandatory for:

• Children aged 5 to 11 years (not yet 12)

Optional for:

• Young travellers aged 12 to 16 years (upon parental request)

Please note: This service is not available for children under 5 years old. Children under 5 must travel with an adult (18+).

• Cyprus Airways operated flights exclusively

Required Documentation

To ensure everything goes smoothly, you'll need to complete the "Declaration of Parents or Guardian" form. This important document includes:

• Details of your child
• Information about the departure escort
• Information about the arrival escort
• Valid identification for both escorts
• Parent or legal guardian signature

Travel Documents Checklist

The departure escort is responsible for ensuring your child has:

• Valid passport or ID card
• Visa (if required for destination)
• Completed Declaration form
• Any other required travel documents

Departure

Arrive early for peace of mind:

• Be at the airport at least 1 hour before departure
• The departure escort must accompany the child through check-in
• Stay at the airport until 15 minutes after the flight departs

What happens next:

1. Complete check-in with our ground staff
2. Our dedicated representative meets your child
3. Your child is escorted to the aircraft
4. Handed over to our caring cabin crew

During the Flight

Your child will be in excellent hands! Our experienced flight attendants will:

• Keep them comfortable and safe
• Ensure they have everything they need
• Stay with them throughout the journey

Arrival

Meeting your child:

• Our cabin crew escorts your child off the aircraft
• A Cyprus Airways representative meets them
• The designated person collects the child

Important: The person collecting must:

• Match the details on the Declaration form
• Present valid photo identification

If the designated person isn't there:

• Airport staff will attempt to locate them
• We may contact you for assistance
• If unsuccessful, your child will be safely returned to the departure airport with our staff

• Prepare your child – Talk to them about what to expect and reassure them
• Pack essentials – Include snacks, activities, and comfort items in their carry-on
• Double-check documents – Ensure all paperwork is complete before leaving home
• Share contact details – Make sure your child knows how to reach you if needed
• Arrive early – Extra time reduces stress for everyone
